UK University of Exeter Business School. This year the Business School is offering twelve £5,000 scholarships for entry on the Full-Time MBA programme in September 2009. The awards are made on the basis of working experience. Applications may be received up to 31 August 2009.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the contribution applicants can make to the programme, with special attention being given to the quality of previous work experience.

Students should be aware that the LExS is not a full scholarship. It is necessary to find additional funding to be able to finance their study and stay completely.
One of the requirements for being granted a residence permit in the Netherlands is that students must submit proof that they have sufficient financial means to finance their study period in the Netherlands. Leiden University advises a budget, not including the tuition fee, of approx. €10,000 to €14,000 per year to cover the costs for rent, insurance, living expenses, course books and local transportation. How much money students actually spend will of course depend on their life style and spending habits.
APPLICATION
To apply for the scholarship, you should write a letter of motivation (in Word) of a maximum of 500 words, in which you indicate why you believe you should be considered for this scholarship. The Word document can then be attached to your online application for the master’s programmes for which you are applying.

Study Climate Change in Denmark - Master Programmes
Master Programmes - Study Climate Change in Denmark for a COP15 Climate Scholarship
Denmark offers a number of full scholarships within studies of climate change.
Climate change is one of the major challenges that our world faces today. In December 2009, Denmark will host the United Nations Climate Change Summit. To emphasise the importance of sustainable climate solutions, the Danish government is now launching the ‘COP15 Climate Scholarship’ for highly qualified students.
The scholarships, which cover both tuition fees and living expenses, are made available for a range of excellent two-years Master’s programmes, including MSc programmes in wind energy, environmental engineering or sustainable energy planning.
Background
In line with the overall aim of securing a climate friendly Climate Conference, the Danish Government has decided not to give any gifts or conference-kits for COP15 participants. The resources saved is instead used to create the ‘COP15 Climate Scholarship’, which gives a number of international students the opportunity to pursue a masters degree within climate change studies at a university in Denmark.

ADB-Japan Scholarship Program, Departement of Economics National University of Singapore - Master in Social Sciences (Economics)
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan. It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB`s developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development- related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. The ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the Region.
Department of Economics, National University of Singapore is one of institution participating in this ADB-JSP scholarship program.

SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION
The ADB-JSP provides full scholarships for one to two years.
- full tuition fees

The scholarship is for one year with an extension to the second year of study, as appropriate, which shall be conditional on the scholar maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as determined by the institute. The maximum duration of scholarship award is two years for masters and doctorate programs.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- A national of an ADB borrowing member country (applicants from countries that are no longer borrowing from ADB are not eligible for the ADB-JSP Scholarship).
- Gained admission to an approved post graduate course in any of the participating academic institutions. (Department of Economics, National University of Singapore)
- A bachelor`s degree or its equivalent with superior academic record.
- At least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience
- Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies.
- Not more than 35 years old at the time of application.
- In good health.
- Should agree to return to his/her home county after completion of studies under the Program.
- Staff of participating academic institutions are not eligible for the Scholarship.
- Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of ADB, consultants, and relatives of the aforementioned are not eligible for the Scholarship.
- Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of the other international organizations are not eligible for the Scholarship.
- Applicants living or working in a country other than his/her home country are not eligible for the Scholarship.
Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.

PT. Rio Tinto Indonesia in collaboration with Sampoerna Foundation provides one (1) qualified individual with the opportunity to pursue a Master`s degree in Science, Social Science or Commerce at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia.
Upon completing the program, scholar is under a (n+1) binding program with PT. Rio Tinto Indonesia, where n = the number of years receiving the scholarship grant. The scholar must apply their knowledge and contribute significantly to PT. Rio Tinto Indonesia for (n+1) year.
Basic Eligibility
Applicant must satisfy ALL of the following conditions:
- Indonesian citizen who is under 35 years of age when lodging the application.
- Hold a local Bachelor`s degree from any discipline with a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).
- Have a minimum of two-year full-time professional work experience after the completion of the undergraduate degree.
- Submit the required English language requirement (TOEFL/ IELTS) and the Graduate Admission Test as required by each program, after the applicant is selected as the scholarship finalists:
- International TOEFL with a minimum score of 577 (PBT) or 233 (CBT) or 90 (IBT), OR
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of minimum 6.5 - Adhere with the scholarship rules and regulations, particularly in the (n+1) binding program with PT. Rio Tinto Indonesia.
- Currently did not enroll in graduate or post-graduate program, or obtained a Master`s degree or equivalent.
- Did not enroll or graduate from an overseas tertiary institution, unless was on a full scholarship.
- Do not receive other equivalent award or scholarship offering similar or other benefits at the time of the award.
- Demonstrate that without the scholarship, applicant is not able to afford an Overseas Graduate Program.
Scholarship Value
The scholarship` s worth is approximately AUD 68,000.- depending on the program`s fee, for the duration of study. This covers the following:
- Graduate Admission Test and TOEFL/ IELTS reimbursement, one time only, based on original invoice, for the test taken no more than 6 months prior to the scholarship application;
- University application fee;
- Student visa application fee;
- Return airfares from Jakarta to Sydney;
- Tuition fees, for the duration of study;
- Living allowance, to support living costs during period of study;
- Literature allowance, to purchase textbooks required for study.

Japan International Graduate Program 2009

International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (lGPAS)-Application deadline is January 31, 2009.
International Graduate Program for Advanced Science (IGPAS) is an interdisciplinary graduate program in the Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University.
It was established in October 2004 as the first international graduate program founded in Japanese national universities. IGPAS offers courses in English for international students who are eager to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees from the Graduate School of Science. It is also aims to educate Japanese students to exert their abilities as internationally-active, professional scientists.
IGPAS has proudly reserved positions of Japanese government scholarship for its master’s students since its foundation, and in 2008, IGPAS-Super Doctoral Course (SDC) has been started for doctoral students jointly with the Institute for the International Advanced Research and Education (IIARE) of Tohoku University. Students of IGPAS-SDC benefit from fellowship by IIARE to promote world top-level, interdisciplinary research at the Graduate School of Science.
Prospective students will have excellent opportunities to study modern science and conduct cutting-edge research with top-level scientists currently working at Tohoku University.
IGPAS is a 5-year graduate program as the combination of a 2-year master’s program and a 3-year doctoral program. In the interdisciplinary program, students are affiliated to one of six departments in three groups based on the GCOE programs: (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, Astronomy, and Physics, and (iii) Earth Science and Geophysics.
The academic year of IGPAS starts in October. The Graduate School of Science will admit at most 20 students each for the master’s and doctoral programs for IGPAS 2009.

Master Degree Scholarships Marywood University
2009-2010 Graduate Scholarship Application
Master’s Degree, Educational Specialist Degree, and Post-Baccalaureate Certification Students
(Not School of Social Work Students, Speech-Language Pathology Students, and
Physician Assistant Students)
All material must be submitted by February 14, 2009.
Awards will be made on the basis of three factors: academic promise, normally represented by a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or a graduate GPA of 3.50; professional focus and commitment; and financial need (required for specific scholarships).
File a complete admissions application. It is fully expected that each prospective student who is a scholarship applicant will have a complete admissions application on file with the Office of Graduate Admissions by February 14, 2009. The admissions application provides the supporting documentation necessary to evaluate a scholarship application.
Complete the scholarship application electronically. The scholarship application itself is on a secure server. You must press “yes” if your browser asks you if you wish to display secure items, otherwise Marywood University will not receive any of the information you type on the application upon submission.
If you declare full-time status on the scholarship application, enrollment in nine or more credits in the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters or what your graduate department defines as full enrollment in structured programs, and are awarded a full-time status scholarship and enroll for less than full-time registration in either of these semesters your scholarship award will be reduced.
If you declare part-time status on your scholarship application, The Committee on Graduate Scholarships expects part-time status students who are scholarship recipients to enroll in and maintain at least six credits in the fall semester and at least six credits in the spring semester. Part-time status scholarship recipients who fail to meet this requirement in a semester will have their scholarships rescinded for that semester.
Email a scholarship essay as a Microsoft Word document. Please type an essay (300-500 words) clarifying the relationship between your life-goals and graduate education at Marywood. Your essay will also be judged on depth of expression and use of the English language. Your essay must clearly address the following areas:
- Describe your professional work background and experience.
- Describe your community leadership activities. Indicate if a volunteer activity.
- Describe any commendations and appreciation awards as well as undergraduate and graduate academic awards and honors.
- Describe any special projects, demonstrations, workshops, recitals, exhibits, or whatever may be appropriate to your area to indicate your abilities and interests.
- What are your short and long range career goals and objectives?
- What attracted you to your Marywood program as a vehicle for achieving your goals?
Email the essay in Microsoft Word to gradscholarship@marywood.edu. Your essay should contain your name, social security number, and field of study at the top of the page.

Scholarship selection results will be mailed in early April 2009. Scholarships are available for use beginning Fall 2009; they may only be used to defray tuition for Marywood courses.
Students awarded graduate assistantships for the 2009-2010 academic year who accept those positions are not eligible to receive scholarship awards as well.
Marywood University undergraduate students who are enrolled in formal five-year programs are automatically eligible for at least forty percent of their undergraduate merit award or higher for their fifth year of study at the graduate level provided they are admitted to the master’s level by their academic department.
Neither scholarship nor assistantship awards are renewed automatically each year. It is the responsibility of the student to reapply each academic year.

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (IPS) Fund was established in 1949 to provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada.
Members of P.E.O. believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.
ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must be qualified for admission to full-time graduate study, working toward a graduate degree in a college or university in the United States or Canada.
A student holding citizenship or permanent residency of the United States or Canada is ineligible.
Scholarships are not given for research, internships, practical training, or travel.
In order to qualify for her first scholarship, an applicant must have a full year of coursework remaining and be
enrolled on campus for the entire school year.
Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working on dissertations only are not eligible as first-time applicants.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP
The maximum amount awarded to a student is $10,000. Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs.

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship awards are not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. At the time of application, the applicant is required to confirm additional financial resources adequate to meet her estimated expenses.

British Chevening Scholarships 2009-2010
UK - The Chevening scholarships are offered in over 150 countries and enable talented graduates and young professionals to become familiar with the UK and gain skills which will benefit their own countries.
The awards are included tuition, stipend, return airfares (economy class) and other allowances.
Support for scholars
Pre-departure English Course
English language training is included as part of the scholarship (if required) and candidates from outside Jakarta are supported during the period of the course. The language training is a full-time study and will be held in Jakarta. The candidate will need to obtain release from her/his employment for the duration of the course.
UK University Placement
Chevening is a self-placement programme. Students who are selected are responsible for making their own approaches to the UK university. We provide the facility in identifying the most suitable university and course if students wish to receive help or advice.

Google Scholarship for Women 2009
Google has published information from Google Europe Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship 2009, which aims to promote women to results in the field of computers and technology as well as active role models and leaders. Scholarships are open to students that his last year bachelor’s degree or enrolled in master’s or doctoral degree (or equivalent) in 2009/2010.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates’ academic background and demonstrated leadership. A group of female Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool. The scholarship recipients, selected from the finalists, will each receive a €5,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for the 2009/2010 academic year.
In June 2009, all finalists will be invited to visit Google’s European Engineering Centre in Zurich for a networking retreat. It will include workshops with a series of speakers, panels, breakout sessions and social activities, and will provide an opportunity for all finalists to meet and share their experiences.
Eligibility requirements
Candidates must:
- be a female student entering her final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in an a Master’s or PhD programme (or equivalent), in 2009/2010.

Mitchell Scholarship, The University of Illinois at Urbana
The Selection commission overriding concern is the applicant’s record of academic excellence, leadership, and public service. They appear for compelling, certified demonstrate of accomplishment in these three areas, and all three fields are as important criteria for the Mitchell Scholarship. The Committee in addition to considers individual characteristics of honesty, unity, fairness, and unselfish service to other people, which suggest a potential for future leadership and contribution to society.
Eligibility :
One year of postgraduate study in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Must be under the age of 30 and a U.S. citizen.
"Priority" Deadline June 2, 2008 :
Students are encouraged to submit a priority application for the Mitchell Scholarship. The priority deadline is June 2, 2008 for students wishing to study in Ireland or Northern Ireland in 2009-10. University faculty and staff who are familiar with the Mitchell Scholarship will review materials received by this date, while only the Office of Scholarships for International Study will review materials submitted after this date. In either case, we will provide feedback on your application and are willing to work with you through the summer on subsequent revisions. No endorsement decisions will be made based on priority applications.

Whether or not you turned in a priority application, a complete Mitchell application must be submitted to the Scholarships for International Study Office in order to be considered for University of Illinois endorsement (a requirement to move forward in the competition). Based on your submittal and an interview, a University of Illinois Scholarships Selection Committee will determine your endorsement. The University will endorse those candidates the Committee feels have the potential to be Mitchell Scholars; up to a handful of applicants will receive this endorsement (there is no limit on the number of endorsements, but the committee is quite judicious). The Office of Scholarships for International Study also may offer some feedback on your application, based on comments from Committee members.
Required information :
1. Transcripts from all colleges attended (photocopies acceptable– one set may be submitted covering multiple scholarships).
2. 5 Letters of Recommendation particular to the student’s Mitchell application. Letters should be written to the attention of the "Mitchell Scholarship Selection Committee." In addition, at least three of the letters must be from those you have done academic work with at the university level.
3. A printout of your complete Mitchell Scholarship application (including application form and personal statement, but no photos or copies of your birth certificate needed at this time). Do not submit the application online at this time, as you will be unable to make any changes after doing so.
Endorsed Applicant Deadline October 6, 2008 :
Those students who have been endorsed individually need both to submit their application online (with any revisions) and ensure that letter of recommendation writers submit their letters online by October 6. In addition, an applicant must ensure that the following materials are received by the Foundation by October 6: all original transcripts (and 9 copies of each), a copy of your birth certificate or passport, and 10 passport-size photos with your signature on the back of each. Once letter of recommendation writers hear from the Scholarships Office that a candidate has been endorsed, they are asked to submit their letters (with any updates) directly to the US-Ireland Alliance online. The letters of recommendation should be specifically tailored toward your application as a Mitchell Scholar and must be submitted online prior to October 6, 2008. Letters should be written to the attention of the "Mitchell Scholarship Selection Committee." The Office of Scholarships for International Study would appreciate a copy of all final materials (including letters) prior to submission.
The Final Stages :
The Office of Scholarships for International Study submits an official online University Endorsement Letter to the US-Ireland Alliance. A semifinalist interview may or may not be conducted on October 30-31, but in any case, shortlisted candidates will participate in a finalist interview on November 21-22 in Washington, DC. The Office of Scholarships for International Study will coordinate mock interviews for those students called to an interview. The final selection will be announced the day after the interviews.

MIC scholarships are offered by our MCPOP Program to qualified applicants from the indicated countries to assist students with tuition fees.
MIC Regular tuition fees for the EMBA and MPA programs, for applicants from Canada, the United States and Western Europe are 10,000US$.
The regular tuition fee for students from Overseas offered by MCPOP is 8,000 US$.
The scholarship covers only a percentage of the tuition fee. (This is not a full scholarship).
MIC Scholarships cover between 10%, 20% and 45% of this amount. In case an applicant obtains the highest scholarship (45%), he or she will only be required to pay 4400 US$.
Read this before submitting your application:
MIC Scholarships are granted only on the Internet MBA and MPA programmes (distance learning) and after careful examination of the applicant file on the basis of academic records and substantial professional experience.
